Hampstead, London
We transformed this two-bedroom Show Apartment for The Clay Yard development into a serene
and soulful space. The design is inspired by nature, with a colour palette that features warm, textured
timbers, limewash walls, and luxurious heavy linens. A curated collection of original art, antique
lighting, and bespoke furniture designed specifically for the project adds character, creating an
eclectic yet inviting atmosphere.
"Our focus was to design an interior that feels familiar and imbued with natural beauty. It was equally
important to pay homage to the area’s tile and brick kiln heritage, which we achieved through our
careful selection of materials, finishes, and colour palette." - Murude
Previously starkly lit, we introduced layers of decorative lighting – pendants, lamps and wall sconces - to soften the atmosphere of the large, double-height rooms. At the same time, textured woods, stone surfaces, heavy linens and mohair wools, set against muted wall colours, added an understatedly luxurious note.
Everyday surfaces, in the kitchen or living room for instance, were also chosen to withstand the wear and tear of family life.
